Depression Therapy in Forest Grove, OR

Is This for You?
Depression therapy in Forest Grove and online across Oregon, for teens and adults who feel numb, overwhelmed, heavy or far away from the life they want. When getting through the day takes everything you have, even small steps can feel out of reach. You do not have to push through it alone.
I offer a warm, steady space where there is no pressure to perform or pretend. We start where you are, on the days that feel impossible as much as the ones that feel okay.
Tweens & Teens (10+)
Specialized support for young people navigating identity, relationships, and the complexities of growing up.
Adults
A collaborative space to break old patterns, process experiences, and build the life you envision.
Parents
Guidance and support for parents seeking help for their children or navigating family dynamics.
What It Can Look Like
Low energy
Everyday tasks feel like wading through mud, and rest never quite refills the tank.
Loss of interest
Things that used to bring you joy feel distant or pointless.
Heavy self-talk
A harsh inner voice that criticizes you for where you are at and how you feel.
Withdrawal
Pulling back from people, plans, and parts of yourself you used to enjoy.
How I Can Help
Depression makes you feel limited in your abilities to move forward. In our work, I offer support in guiding you to build the confidence in trusting yourself by taking things one small step at a time, working through the depression and understanding at a deeper level of how it impacts you and how you can embrace and navigate it in a healthy manner. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to interrupt the thoughts that keep you stuck, mindfulness to reconnect with the present, and if applicable, expressive arts for the moments when words feel too heavy to identify or share.
Oftentimes, having a low mood can show up with other symptoms such as anxiety. If that ends up being the case, we will work together in attending to those symptoms and anything else that shows up along the therapy process. Anxiety therapy often pairs well here, and for new parents who are experiencing anxiety and depression, postpartum therapy offers focused support. This work can stand on its own or grow into ongoing individual therapy.
“Every person’s journey is unique. I believe in meeting you where you are and walking alongside you as you discover your own path forward.”
