Parent Consultations
Home / Parent Consultations
Is This for You?
Parent consultations are individual sessions for parents or caregivers, separate from a child’s therapy sessions. These meetings provide space to discuss concerns, progress, and challenges related to supporting your child’s emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs.
Parent consultations are especially helpful when caregivers want guidance around parenting approaches, understanding their child’s experiences outside the therapy room, or navigating changes at home, school, or within relationships.
This service focuses on collaboration, reflection, and problem solving, helping parents feel more confident and supported in their role.

My Approach
Parent consultations are grounded in a client-centered, strengths-based approach. I emphasize active listening, collaboration, and respect for each family’s values and experiences.
These sessions offer an opportunity to reflect on what is working, explore challenges, and consider supportive strategies that align with your child’s needs and your role as a caregiver. Gaining insight into how a child functions outside the therapy space helps inform the therapeutic process in a thoughtful and ethical way.

Building awareness and emotional regulation to support calmer and more intentional family interactions.
Cognitive Behavioral Tools (CBT)
Identifying and reshaping unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that affect family dynamics.
Expressive Techniques
Using creative methods to support emotional expression when words feel difficult.
Motivational Interviewing
Encouraging insight, motivation, and confidence to support meaningful family change.
Client-Centered Care
Honoring each family member’s voice while collaborating toward shared goals.
The Investment
